Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Equipe (“we”, “us”) provides apps and services that help cycling clubs organize rides, manage members, and stay connected (the “Service”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our iOS and Android apps, the web app at app.equipe.bike, and this website.
Data we collect
Account and profile data
When you create an account we store your email address and authentication credentials with our backend provider, Supabase. Your club profile — display name, photo, bio, emergency contact, and any social links you add (such as Strava or Instagram) — is stored so that it can be shown to other members of your club.
Club activity
Rides you create or sign up for, routes you import, posts and comments you write, and your check-in and participation history are stored as part of your club’s data and are visible to other members of that club according to their role.
Location data
If you join a live ride and grant location permission, the mobile app shares your position with your ride group while the ride is active so that ride leaders and fellow riders can see where everyone is on the route. Location sharing stops when the ride ends or when you leave the ride, and historical ride locations are not used for any other purpose. You can decline location permission and still use the rest of the Service.
Push notifications
If you enable notifications we store a device push token (Apple Push Notification service on iOS, Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android) so we can deliver ride updates, club announcements, and weather alerts. You can change what you receive per notification type in Settings, or disable notifications entirely in your device settings.
Waitlist emails
If you join our early-access waitlist on this website we store the email address you submit and the page section you signed up from, solely to contact you about Equipe availability.
Analytics
This website uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which collect aggregated, anonymized usage and performance metrics. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell personal data.
Third-party services
The Service relies on a small number of processors:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage for all account and club data.
- Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications to your device.
- Resend — transactional email such as club invitations and notification emails.
- Mapbox — map rendering and geocoding. Map tiles are requested from Mapbox when you view a route or ride map.
- Strava and Ride with GPS — optional route imports. If you connect an account we store the OAuth tokens needed to read your routes; we never post to these services on your behalf. You can disconnect either integration at any time in Settings.
- Vercel — website hosting and anonymized analytics.
How long we keep data
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile, participation history, and push tokens are deleted; content that is part of a club’s shared record (such as rides you led or posts you wrote) may be retained in anonymized form. Waitlist emails are deleted once they are no longer needed for launch communications.
Your rights
You can access and update your profile in the app, disconnect integrations, and control notifications at any time. To delete your account, export your data, or exercise other rights that apply in your jurisdiction (such as under GDPR), contact us at hello@equipe.bike and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
