Ride states

Every ride has one status at a time. The status controls what you can do on the ride.

• Scheduled: the ride is planned and has not started. You can join, join the waitlist, or withdraw.
• In Progress: the ride lead started the ride. You can leave the ride, but you can no longer join it.
• Completed: the ride lead ended the ride, or its scheduled end time passed. You can view it, but you can no longer join, withdraw, or leave.
• Cancelled: the ride lead called off the ride. All participants got a notification. You can no longer join it.

A ride pending an admin's approval shows as Scheduled with a note that it needs approval. Plain members do not see a ride until an admin approves it.
